I love love love Addi Turbos. They are just so smooth, and when I knit with them I feel like I'm just flying along the Plateaus of Stockinette rather than slogging through the Bog of Never-Ending Knitting. :) The joins are smooth, the cable sturdy and flexible, and they are just COMFORTABLE.

Anyway, you totally rock, good luck on your exams!!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12917598343962679165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7741116102065741033.post-65206226419219848542009-03-31T21:11:00.000-04:002009-03-31T21:11:00.000-04:00Happy anniversary Tina. I do find that I have favorites depending on the project, fiber content and weight.

For cirs: laceweight cotton = Addi Lace needles; laceweight silk = Suzanne's ebony; worsted - addis.

Socks = addis, 40" or knitpicks 40" for magic loop knitting.

When I'm knitting small pieces back and forth I love my Lantern Moon straight needles.

I find that sometimes sticky wool just needs a slick metal needle and I'll grab a pair of ancient Boyles.

My grandmother could knit a stranded Norwegian sweater just by looking at a 1"x1" picture and she knit with the same pair of needles for years. She just changed her stitch count to match her gauge. So easy but not much fun (IMO).StatenIslandSusanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04958746603348023774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7741116102065741033.post-15129829841549816012009-03-31T07:38:00.000-04:002009-03-31T07:38:00.000-04:00Congrats on your blog-anniversary :-)My favourite ...Congrats on your blog-anniversary :-)

My favourite needles: birch needles DPN, from Brittany. Both are relaxing, albeit in different ways, and both help me tackle stress, again in different ways. I often use regular Addi turbos, but I'm still on the hunt for a good metal needle that doesn't "drop off" too quickly before the needle joins the cable, if that makes sense.
