My yarn came! woohoo!
I ordered some Sundara Silk Lace yarn... which I happened to catch in an update~ For all you non-knitter buddies~ the world of buying and stashing yarn is cut throat! People get highly competitive and emotional about their yarn~ Sundara happens to be one of those brands that people can get a little feisty over~ (there is more to come of this stuff over the next year... I signed up for a Seasons collection (1 skein of yarn every 3 months) and the Socks (Darks) Collection (3 skeins every 3 months)... so tell me... what do you think?
This is Charcoal over Blue Lagoon- Silk Lace... We will not discuss its cost as non-knitters might become A) frightened or B) question my sanity
and here is the completed Lotus Blossom Tank for my e-moh~
Pattern: Lotus Blossom Tank by Sharon Shoji
Yarn: Sirdar Snuggly Baby Bamboo- Lavender colorway (SH137)
Needles: Knit Picks Harmony Options- size 5 and 6~
Notes:
1) completed 6 repeats of lace pattern~
2) added 1/2" of st all around
3) added two repeats of the decrease pattern to the back- at the beginning of the arm holes
4) added an extra row of knitting to the neck/arm hole edging
Blocked in SOAK~
Overall it was an easy knit~ If I would just pay attention to the pattern and look at size before I start! I think I may have to make another one for my granny (paternal)... she was very disappointed not to have received this one~ and a Final note... it was made intentionally longish~ my aunt was adamant that it be made long- even tho she is quite short~ she didn't want it to be too short and look like it was for younger people... which is sort of how the original design was intended~

I read this to my husband... and then guessed at the price to him. His eyes went wide as saucers and then he decided it explained a lot... apparently it's laced with crack and that's why we are all nuts.
